L’impressione che un oggetto normalmente dà ai nostri sensi è reale.
Ciò significa che, toccando gli oggetti, capiamo se le nostre impressioni visive sono esatte: ciò che sembra rigido è rigido e ciò che sembra morbido è morbido. Njok e’ diverso: è una parete (o meglio sembra una parete) di poliuretano e silicone, che permette di sedersi, di appoggiarsi, che può essere usata come scaffale o semplicemente come divisorio. Njok vuole risvegliare i nostri sensi, creando un nuovo modo di guardare e di relazionarsi con l’oggetto.
The impression that an object normally gives our eyes, we can assume to be true: hard things look hard, soft things look soft. Therefore, should we touch these objects, our fingers should feel that our eyes were right.
Njok is different: it is a wall - or let´s say it looks like a wall - made of polyurethane and silicon and it offers you the possibility to sit, to lean, to use it as a shelf, or just to divide your space. Njok wants to awake and to surprise our senses and create a new relationship between looking and feeling an object.
